Ailuropoda melanoleuca (scientific name: Ailuropoda melanoleuca, alias: feline bear, bamboo bear), belonging to the carnivorous order of giant panda, is the only mammal of Ursidae, giant panda subfamily and giant panda, known as "living fossil" and "national treasure of China", and belongs to the first-class national protected animal in China.
Giant pandas are endemic to China and their main habitats are mountainous areas in Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. Its body is plump and rich, with round head and short tail, and the male is slightly larger than the female; the black and white body color is conducive to hiding in the dense forest trees and snow ground, and is not easy to be found by natural enemies.
大熊猫（学名：Ailuropoda melanoleuca，别名：猫熊、竹熊），属食肉目熊科大熊猫属动物，是熊科、大熊猫亚科和大熊猫属唯一的哺乳动物，被誉为“活化石”和“中国国宝”，属中国国家一级保护动物。
大熊猫是中国特有物种，主要栖息地为中国四川、陕西和甘肃的山区。其体型丰腴富态，头圆尾短，雄性个体稍大于雌性；黑白相间的体色，有利于隐蔽在密林的树上和积雪的地面而不易被天敌发现。
