Guangzhou and Foshan are brimming with exciting cultural and tourism activities, such as flag raising, exhibitions, lantern viewing, and music galore, during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.

On the morning of October 1st, residents of Guangzhou gathered at the Zhengjia North Square to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. With over 2,000 citizens as witnesses, 30 flag bearers and 30 military musicians jointly raised the national flag and sang the national anthem, sending warm wishes for the 74th anniversary of New China.

In Foshan, bustling commercial districts have presented diverse mini-vacation activities for the public. The 2023 Tiandi World Music Festival kicked off in Foshan, bringing together 14 bands from all over the country to perform a variety of music styles, including ethnic rock, pop rock, new bluegrass, reggae, and Chinese traditional folk music.

The Tiandi World Music Festival is currently China's largest music festival featuring"world music" and a platform promoting it. This year, the festival will feature more than 50 unique performances in four cities: Shanghai, Wuhan, Chongqing, and Foshan.

The festival lineup includes renowned musicians such as TOM PENG NEW GRASS BAND, Early Park, and One To Free. They all gathered in Foshan to deliver high-quality musical experiences.

For those seeking something different, you can appreciate the nighttime grand performance at the century-old architectural treasure, Longtang Poetry Society. You can also join music-sharing salons at the Wenhuili Wedding House or enjoy instrument performances on the streets.

In addition to the music festival, during this National Day holiday, both Lingnan Tiandi and NOVA Lingnan Station are hosting exhibitions - the Lingnan Lantern Festival and the Space-out Art Exhibition. Traditional fish-shaped lanterns gracefully grace the skies above the distinctive streets and alleys of Lingnan Tiandi. Visitors can follow the lanterns to explore stores along Zumiao Street and Wenming Lane.

At the "Sheep's Wool" Space-out Art Exhibition currently taking place at NOVA Lingnan Station, a 4-meter-tall giant cute girl has made a soft landing in the courtyard. The artist hopes to encourage everyone to unwind and enjoy the present moment through their artwork during the holidays.
