The “funeral flight” is scheduled for late on Monday, June 24, and will see containers packed with the cremated remains of 152 people sent into orbit.

The capsules will be on one of the satellites carried by the Falcon Heavy, which will float in orbit for as long as the satellite operates.

Every capsule is etched with a tombstone-like inscription, including phrases like “Reach for the stars!” and “Space Truckin’ Forever.”

The company buys out available room on spacecraft and packs it with tiny metal storage capsules filled with the ashes of people’s loved ones – all for the not-so-modest price of $5,000 per gram.

Not every capsule is the same size or weight: A family can choose to fly between 1 gram and 7 grams of ashes (between a US dollar bill and a US dollar coin’s worth of mass).

For example, Celestis flew some ashes of geologist and planetary scientist Eugene Shoemaker to the moon in 1998, and took the remains of “Star Trek” actor James “Scotty” Doohan into orbit in 2008.

The Earth Rise service affordably launches a symbolic portion of cremated remains or DNA to space. After experiencing the zero gravity environment the individual flight capsules and modules are returned to Earth.

The uniquely compelling Earth Orbit service places the Celestis spacecraft carrying cremated remains or DNA into orbit where it remains until it re-enters the atmosphere, harmlessly vaporizing like a shooting star in final tribute.

The Luna service places the Celestis spacecraft carrying cremated remains or DNA on the surface of our nearest neighbor — the Moon — creating a permanent memorial on a distant, but constantly viewable world.

Via celestis.com

The Voyager service is a true mission of exploration, sending the Celestis spacecraft carrying cremated remains or DNA on a permanent celestial journey, well beyond the Moon.

So what gives them the right to litter space at our expense, we haven't even begun to explore space and already they're starting to pollute it.

They made space into a business as well now anything to suck money from somewhere
