218、place, room, space

一、place 可数名词。意思是“地方、房子、座位、职位”。用以表示坐、工作、居住的地方。在英国英语中不能与no或any连用。例如：

I am looking for a place to stay.我正在找一个可以暂时住的地方。

There is nowhere to park. --- There is no place to park.没有停车的地方。（前一句用于英国英语，后一句用于美国英语）

Keep a place for me if you reach the boat first.要是你先到船上，跟我留一个位子。

二、room 作不可数名词表示“空间、空地、空位子”；作可数名词表示“房间”。常与其他词构成合成词。例如：

This table takes up too much room. 这张桌子太占地方了。

Is there enough room in the corner to put the desk there? 这张书桌放在那个角上还有足够的空间吗？

Ask Room 318 if they want coffee. 问一下318房间是否要咖啡。

The room was papered in pink. 房间贴了粉红色壁纸。

三、space 名词。意思是“空间、空处、地方、太空”。例如：

There isn't enough space for another chair.没有足够的地方再放一把椅子。

We need more space to set up the equipment.我们需要更多的空间安装设备。

Many rockets have been launched into space.许多火箭发射进入了太空。
