这本书讲的是红队和蓝队足球比赛的故事,小朋友们踢的相当带劲呢!你猜猜看,最后谁赢了?

Today we are going to read Reds and Blues.

今天我们一起来读《红队和蓝队》。

First, let's have a look at the cover.

首先我们来看一下封面。

Who can you see on the cover?

封面上都有什么呢?

I can see many children, who are dressed in red and blue.

我看到有很多小朋友,他们都穿着红色和蓝色的衣服。

Why do they wear different colors?

他们为什么穿着不同颜色的衣服呢?

Because they are two different teams, and they are going to play a game.

因为他们代表两个不同的球队,他们要进行一场比赛。

What game do you think the children are going to play? Let's take a look.

你觉得他们要举行什么比赛呢?我们一起去看看。

In this picture, how many children can you see?

在这幅图里,你能看到几个小朋友?

One, two, three, four, five, six. There are six children.

1,2,3,4,5,6,有6个小朋友。

What are they wearing?

他们穿着什么?

This boy is wearing a red shirt, this girl is also wearing a red shirt. And red, red, red, red.

这个小男孩穿了一件红色的上衣,这个小女孩也穿了件红色的上衣,还有这个也是红色,这个也是...

Oh! Their socks are red, too.

What are they doing?

他们在做什么呢?

They are doing warm-up exercises.

他们在做比赛前的热身呢。

The reds and the blues are playing a football game.

红队和蓝队正在进行足球比赛。

In this picture, we can see the reds are offensive players and the blues are defensive players.

在这幅图里,我们可以看到红队正在进攻,蓝队正在防守。

Who is this man in black?

这个穿着黑色衣服的是谁呢?

Yes, he is the referee. He is wearing a whistle around his neck.

没错,他是裁判,他脖子上戴了一个哨子。

Come on the reds! Come on the blues! Come on! Come on! Shouted the audience.

加油,红队!加油,蓝队!加油加油!观众们都在大喊。

Both teams are playing very hard!

两支队伍都踢得很卖力!

Look! This girl headed the ball to Biff, and Biff kicked the ball.

看!这个女孩用头把球传给了Biff,Biff一脚射门。

What's this boy doing?

这个小男孩在做什么呢?

He is trying to defend!

他正在防守。

Now, can you tell, who is in red? Who is in blue?

现在你还能区分出来,谁是红队的,谁是蓝队的吗?

Well, I can see this girl is in red, and red, red

嗯,我看出来这个女孩是红队的,这个也是,还有这个

But, as for this girl, I am not quite sure, because she is getting muddy.

但是,这个我就不确定了,因为她全身都是泥。

Why are the players getting muddy?

为什么大家都浑身是泥?

Maybe it just rained before the game.

可能刚刚下过雨。

So, when they were falling on the ground, their clothes became muddy.

所以,当他们摔倒的时候,他们的衣服就弄脏了。

At the end of the game, we are all muddy.

And even the football is muddy.

Here comes a question:

有个问题,

Who do you think won the game? The reds or the blues?

I don't know. I guess it was the blues, because we can see Biff and her team members are standing in the front and also smiling happily.

我不知道。我猜可能是蓝队。因为我看到Biff和她的队员站在最前面,而且笑得很开心。

整个牛津树系列的画风非常丰富细腻,还有很多隐藏的内容可以跟孩子一起去挖掘。

比如说,在很多书中都出现的这个秃头邻居,经常躲在围栏背后悄悄地注视着一切,在这本书中又出现啦。有时候他的小狗也跟他一起偷看哦。

还有很多细节可以跟孩子一起讨论,比如,在这本书的两个队伍里,我们都能看到肤色不同、头发颜色不同的小朋友,就可以跟孩子讨论一下,Where do you think are they from? Do you know anyone who has blond hair?

对于比赛最后的结果,其实也没有一个固定答案,The Blues won.(蓝队赢了) 或者说 It was a tie.(他们打成了平局),都是合情合理的。

拓展问题

对于基础比较好的宝宝,家长还可以根据实际情况,加入更多的提问环节。

1.What color shirts do the teams have at the start?

在比赛刚开始的时候,两个队伍分别穿了什么颜色的队服?

2.What color do they have at the end?

在比赛结束的时候,他们的队服变成什么颜色了?

3.Which team does Biff play for?

Biff是哪一支球队的?

1. 每个宝宝的年龄不一样,基础不一样,不需要完全按照以上文本来讲。如果孩子感兴趣,就多说一点,不感兴趣就少说一点,都没问题。
