One warm Saturday morning, Grandpa decided to take his granddaughter Mary fishing. But she didn't have a fishing rod.
"We'll make one when we get to the pond," said Grandpa.
And off they went. Grandpa carried his pole while Mary carried the worms.
When they got to the pond, Grandpa cut a branch from a tree. He tied a string to it and put on a hook. Then, Mary put on a worm.
“Now you can fish." Grandpa said.
Soon, Mary had caught three fish using her new fishing rod.
"These fish aren't good for eating," said Grandpa.
"They can be my pets," said Mary.
"They don't like living in bowls," explained Grandpa. "They will die very quickly."
“I don't want them to die," said Mary. “l guess I'll let them go."
Grandpa smiled.
When it was time to go home. Mary dumped the fish back into the pond. Mary smiled as she watched the fish swim away.
钓鱼之旅
一个温暖的周六早晨，爷爷决定带孙女玛丽去钓鱼，但是她没有鱼竿。
“我们到池塘的时候再做一个，”爷爷说。
然后他们出发了。爷爷拿着杆子，玛丽拿着虫子。
当他们到达池塘时，爷爷从树上砍下一根树枝。他在上面系了一根绳子，然后装上了钩子。然后，玛丽穿上了一只虫子。
“现在你可以钓鱼了。”爷爷说。
很快，玛丽用她的新鱼竿钓了三条鱼。
“这些鱼不好吃，”爷爷说。
“它们可以成为我的宠物，”玛丽说。
“它们不喜欢住在碗里，”爷爷解释说。“他们会很快死去。”
“我不想让他们死，”玛丽说。“我想我还是让他们走吧。”
爷爷笑了。
当该回家的时候，玛丽把鱼扔回池塘里。玛丽笑着看着鱼游走了。
