带娃搭了无数次的“乐高”房子，这样玩出新高度！（乐高搭建盖房）

STEAM主题陪玩——下雨啦！

这次的陪玩主题是“下雨啦！”。

下雨时，我们都会躲进房子里躲雨。小小建筑师们，你搭建的乐高房子能够防雨吗？下大雨时，如果乐高娃娃们都躲进了你搭好的房子里，他们会被淋湿吗？

一、主题引入

下大雨了，让我们一起给乐高娃娃们搭建一个能够躲雨的家吧！

在开始我们的小实验之前，我们先和孩子讨论一下生活中的房子都是怎样的？不知道怎么提问？问题和图片我们都替你准备好啦！中英双语，外教指导，地道地和孩子对话。

生活中的房子都是怎样的？
What shape can you see in a house?
是的，城市里的房子一般是高高的大楼，是一个个长方体，楼顶是平平的。
Most buildings in the city are tall and in the shape of a cuboid. Their roof is flat.
快看图片，其实还有很多很特别的房子哦，比如内蒙古的蒙古包、三角形屋顶的房子、西北黄土高原上居民居住的窑洞、古时候的茅草屋……
Take a look at the pictures. There are buildings in other shapes too: such as Mongolian yurts, houses with triangle shape roof, cave houses in the Northwest plateau, and thatched houses.
观察一下，这些房子都是用什么材料做成的呢？
From the pictures, can you tell what materials were used to build these houses?
你觉得要怎样设计乐高小屋的屋顶，下雨时屋顶才不会漏水呢？
How can we build a lego house that does not leak when raining?

二、材料准备

We will need:

◎ 乐高 lego

◎ 水 water

◎ 小花洒 watering can

◎ 纸 paper

◎ 锡纸aluminum foil

◎ 布 cloth

◎ 保鲜膜或塑料袋 plastic wrap or plastic bag

◎ 胶带 tape (也可以不用）

三、动手验证

Step 1：“乐高小屋”自由搭建

首先，给孩子自由搭建的时间。让孩子用乐高自由搭建出心目中的乐高小屋！这段时间里，我们给孩子自由发挥的空间。

Step 2：乐高小屋可以防水吗？

孩子搭出的乐高小屋是怎样的？和孩子讨论一下他的作品吧！

我们用小花洒往乐高小屋上淋水，模拟“下雨”！看看乐高小屋是不是避雨的好场所。
Let’s use the water can to create rain and see if the lego house is a good place to stay dry.
哎呀，乐高娃娃们躲在乐高小屋里，却被淋湿了！外面下大雨，屋里下小雨，这个乐高小屋的屋顶是漏水的！
Oh no, the lego characters in the house are wet from the water that leaks through the roof.
看来我们需要改进一下我们的小屋子！
Let’s see how we can water proof our lego house.

Step 3：改进你的乐高小屋

看看这些的图片，这些房子的屋顶都是用什么材料做的？

我们来尝试一下给屋顶加一些材料吧，看看加什么材料的效果最好？
Let’s try and add different layers to our lego house roof. What material should we use?

方案（一）：纸屋顶 Paper Roof

在屋顶上盖上一层纸，刚开始的效果还不错，但是过一段时间，纸就破了

Put a layer of paper on top of the lego roof. It works in the beginning to keep the rain out. But after a while, the paper falls apart.

方案（二）：锡纸屋顶 Aluminum Foil Roof

加锡纸看起来是个不错的方案！哇！锡纸把雨水都挡住了！这个设计太棒了！

Aluminum foil is a great one. It keeps all the water out. Wow, what a great idea!

方案（三）：塑料膜屋顶 Plastic Wrap Roof

保鲜膜（或塑料袋）呢？哇，这个设计也很棒！

How about using the plastic wrap (plastic bag)? Wow, this is also a great idea!

方案（四）：布屋顶 Cloth Roof

再试试给我们的屋顶盖上一层布吧！哎呀，虽然能起到一定的防水作用，但布浸湿了后，水就漏下来了！

Let’s try put a layer of cloth on the roof. Oh no, although it keeps the water out for a little bit, the roof starts leaking after the cloth is soaked.

方案（五）、脑洞大开的其他方案

我们还可以试试看其他脑洞大开的方案哦！比如草、树叶、树枝、金属丝等等，只要你想得到的，都可以找来试试看！

在屋顶上加上草（如果没有，就试试树叶、树枝吧），仍然容易漏水，看来我们加的草不够密集呀！

Put a layer of grass (or leaves and tree branches) on the lego roof top. The water still leaks into the house. It looks like we don’t have enough grass.
